What is the difference between Groups and Rooms?

Groups and Rooms are two different ways to create a collection of devices for ease of operating them.

A Room is a physical location where you have added/installed your smart devices.

For example, all your lights and devices located in the Kids Bedroom can be clubbed together adding them into a Room called "Kids Room". Once they are added to the Room, you can operate them easily using the Room tile in your app.

Note: Once you add a device to a Room, it cannot be added to another Room.

A Group is a virtual collection of your devices, which can be located in different rooms physically. You can create a group of all devices which you want to operate together via your app.

For example, if you want to switch on one light in each of your Rooms, you can create a Group and add these lights to the Group. You can now operate and control all lights easily using the created Group.

You can add a light or device to multiple Groups. However, each light or device can only be added to a single Room.
